FTampa and Sex Room bring us the Brazilian heat with their new tune, ‘Lifetime’! The record fuses elements of Melbourne, progressive, and electro house to create a high-energy hit that is already being supported by the likes of Calvin Harris, Martin Garrix, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, and Borgeous to name a few. ‘Lifetime’ starts out with bouncy vocal chops reminiscent of that Melbourne bounce sound that has caught much attention the last few years. The aggressive buildups and drops feature many different layers throughout, giving it a raving climax to counter all of the melodic goodness. This is the Brazilian natives’ debut collaboration and it will leave you craving for more. ‘Lifetime’ is excellent party music so if you haven’t heard it at a club or festival already, get your body ready!
Felipe Ramos, aka FTampa, was born and raised in Belo Horizonte, Brazil but then made the courageous move to the mecca of the music industry – Los Angeles, California. He has been producing electronic music since 2010 and received his breakthrough in 2013 after Hardwell played his song ‘Kick It Hard’ on the mainstage at Tomorrowland. Since then he’s had releases on Revealed Recordings, Musical Freedom, and Spinnin’ Records, his music has been featured in Xbox and PS2 games, and he’s played world-renowned festivals like Burning Man, Lollapalooza, Tomorrowland, and Rock in Rio in Las Vegas. He has released a lot of originals and remixes in 2015, which has helped to skyrocket his career. For example, he did an official remix for Nervo and Kreayshawn’s ‘Hey Ricky’ and his latest single, ‘Strike It Up’ amassed well over 1 million plays in a month. It’ll be exciting to see how he starts out the year 2016.
Leandro Souza, better known by his stage name, Sex Room, is an up-and-coming producer from FTampa’s hometown, Belo Horizonte, Brazil. He’s been producing for just over two years and has dabbled with several different genres including electro house, progressive house, and Melbourne bounce. To start off 2015, his collaboration with The Fish House called ‘Illegal’ released on (Ministry of Sound imprint) Hussle Recordings. He has only released one other song in 2015 – ‘Roll Up’ on Brazilian label Braslive Records. Even though he hasn’t released any music in over half a year, this new collaboration with FTampa will definitely kickstart this up-and-comer’s career and will give him a head start for 2016.
